Here We Come, Kalispell!

We’re officially on our way to the Majestic Valley Arena! Our trucks left the ranch Monday morning to begin the trek to picturesque Kalispell, Montana, where our second Walkabout Tour of the year presented by Ritchie Industries will take place this weekend.

The event gets started at 9 a.m. daily with doors opening at 8 a.m. for No Worries Club members and to the general public at 8:30 a.m. Along with horsemanship demonstrations covering everything from safely starting a colt to advanced riding maneuvers, there will be giveaways and the opportunity to meet Clinton and visit with our Professional Clinicians and Method Ambassadors. Our sponsors will also be on hand offering fun contests and sharing information about the products and services Clinton uses to keep his horses performing at their best.

The Alexander Neville Foundation will be our Ritchie Industries Charity group. The foundation is fighting the out-of-control fentanyl crisis sweeping the country and is close to the hearts of the Downunder Horsemanship team. On June 23, 2020, 14-year-old Alexander Neville lost his life when he was poisoned by a counterfeit pill containing fentanyl. The kind and curious Boy Scout was the grandson of Rick Badousek, our longtime Downunder Horsemanship team member who has been by Clinton’s side since the clinician came to the United States. As our Ritchie Charity group, the foundation will have a booth at the tour where they’ll educate spectators about the fentanyl crisis and raise funds for their cause through the event’s Ritchie Charity Ball Toss. The Ritchie Charity Ball Toss is a contest in which horsemen in the audience throw numbered tennis balls they’ve purchased from our chosen non-profit group into the arena, trying to be the closest to a pre-determined marker. The owners of the three closest tennis balls to the marker receive Clinton’s instructional videos and Downunder Horsemanship training tools. All money raised throughout the ball toss goes straight to the Alexander Neville Foundation.

Tickets to the event are $50 for the weekend. While online ticket sales have been shut off to allow for mailing of tickets, tickets will be available at the door during the event. No Worries Club members receive five free tickets each year to attend tours with their family and friends. Visit the Downunder Horsemanship website for detailed information about the tour, including a schedule of events.
