Meet Madonna and Puzzled

Madonna and Puzzled are two of the cutest rising stars at the ranch. Professional Clinician Jeff Davis is taking the fillies through the Foal Training Series, and while Puzzled is outgoing and in your pocket, Madonna is more curious and cautious. The two fillies are turned out in the ranch’s front pasture with our two Titan colts – Ringo and Rowdy.

Puzzled is owned by Bruce and Kim Voigt and is out of NRHA 2 Million Dollar Sire Spooks Gotta Gun. The bay overo stallion’s offspring have gone on to win the NRHA Futurity, the NRHA Derby and the NRBC. Puzzled’s dam, Proofisinthepudding (aka Twix), didn’t compete, but has impeccable bloodlines. She’s by standout reiner Tinker With Guns out of Sinfully Smart, a daughter of NRHA Hall of Fame Mare Princess In Diamonds.

Madonna is owned by Tom and Melissa Sims and is out of Shiners VooDoo Dr, whose offspring have earned over $800,000. Madonna is out of MS Teeny Martini (aka Teenie) who won $10,000 in NCHA competitions and is a granddaughter of the all-time leading sire of cutting horses, High Brow Cat.

While the two fillies are learning Fundamentals groundwork exercises, someday Clinton and their owners hope to see them excelling in reining. “Breeding and raising horses is always a gamble. You can match up the best bloodlines in the world, but at the end of the day, you never know what you’re going to get. That’s part of the fun of it all, and right now, these two fillies look to have it all,” Clinton shares.
