Meet Method Ambassador Chase Tipton

Chase grew up on his family’s East Tennessee farm, where they bred and raised Tennessee Walkers. The Tiptons showed the horses, earning ribbons and championships, and enjoyed exploring trails that crisscrossed the Great Smoky Mountains with them.

Chase went on to work at a variety of barns, breaking in colts and helping to tune up and train horses. In 2019, he was hired on at Deer Run Cattle Co., an operation that relies heavily on the Method to train its horses.

“Being around horses my entire life, I was familiar with Downunder Horsemanship and Clinton, but it wasn’t until I started working at Deer Run Cattle Co. that I got to see how beneficial using the Method is and really got interested in it,” Chase says.

As he began using the Method to train horses and work around them, Chase’s appreciation for Clinton’s program continued to grow. “The Method is broken down into such a step-by-step process that it doesn’t matter if you’re a professional horse trainer or someone who’s decided to just get into horses. Anybody can learn from it, apply it with success and become a better horseman from using it,” he says.

The Tennessee native is as passionate about helping people as he is about studying horsemanship and becoming a better horseman. So when the opportunity to attend the Academy presented itself, Chase knew becoming a Method Ambassador would be the perfect avenue for combining his desire to help people with his love for horses.

“I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping people overcome problems. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who lack the knowledge to safely and successfully work with their horses,” Chase says. “Being an Ambassador gives me the opportunity to pay the knowledge and opportunities to learn I’ve been given forward and help others experience the success I’ve had with the Method.”

Chase is based in Walland, Tennessee, where he trains horses for the public and teaches private lessons and clinics that focus on the Fundamentals level of the Method. Learn all about Chase on his website and contact him directly at 865-776-0705 or [email protected].
