Clinton Shares: Arena Maintenance and Pasture Care

When it comes to where you work your horse and the pastures you turn him out in, attention to detail is a must. Both greatly affect a horse’s performance and overall wellbeing. Plus, when you invest your resources into caring for horses at your home, if you don’t take care of your property, it becomes worthless pretty quickly.

In the August No Worries Club video, Clinton focuses on two areas of horsekeeping – arenas and pastures. He discusses the care you should give your riding area, from daily and yearly maintenance to how to care for an outdoor arena versus a covered arena versus a roundpen. You’ll learn how to best avoid letting your riding space get ruined. He also explains how to keep your pastures lush and providing good nutrients and safe turnout for your horses. Horses can be some of the most destructive animals on pastures, so it’s important to know how to properly maintain healthy turnout and grazing conditions.

Watch the video now by logging on to the Downunder Horsemanship app or the No Worries Club website. Go to the NWC Video category and select the “Arena Care and Pasture Maintenance” video.
