Earn Your Education

Clinton doesn’t give away his horsemanship knowledge to those who aspire to be clinicians, but if you’re willing to earn your education and uphold the four core values of Downunder Horsemanship, you won’t have to pay a cent for it. Earlier this year, Clinton created a scholarship program to his acclaimed Clinician Academy. Instead of paying the $17,500 tuition, standout individuals will be selected to work off their tuition, earning their education through hard work and dedication. The scholarship is open to horsemen 18 years of age or older.

Application process:

  • Fill out the Academy application.
  • Prepare a videotape that demonstrates your riding ability at the walk, posting to the trot and cantering.
  • Downunder Horsemanship will perform a background check on all applicants. Only those applicants in good legal standing will be considered for the scholarship program. You will be responsible for paying the $250 processing fee.
  • Send your completed application, videotape and $250 application fee to Downunder Horsemanship.

Acceptance process:

  • Downunder Horsemanship will review your completed application and videotape and perform a background check on you.
  • If you’re in good legal standing and the Downunder Horsemanship team is confident about your ability to ride a horse, you’ll be invited to the ranch for a one-week trial period. You will be responsible for your travel to and from the ranch as well as your accommodations (hotel, food, etc.) and transportation during the trial period.
  • During the one-week trial period, you’ll be judged on your character, passion and possession of Downunder Horsemanship’s core values: loyal, hard-working, ambitious and personable.
  • At the end of the one-week trial period, you will be accepted into the scholarship program or dismissed. If you are accepted into the program, it will be your choice as to whether you wish to continue or not.

Earning Your Education

  • When you’re officially accepted into the scholarship program, Downunder Horsemanship will pay you a salary of $20,000. You will work at the ranch and office, proving that you have the passion to represent Downunder Horsemanship. On average, expect to work 14-hour days, at least six days a week. This year will quickly sort out the genuine and authentic individuals from those looking for a handout and free ride.
  • You must have your own form of reliable transportation to get to and from the ranch and to run personal errands.
  • You must come to the ranch with a working cell phone that has AT&T service.
  • Each month that you work for Downunder Horsemanship, $1,000 of your tuition will be considered paid off. If, at any point, you would like to pay the balance of your remaining tuition and enter the Academy, you may. For example, if you’ve worked 10 months and want to pay the remaining $7,500 of your tuition, you may.
  • Once your full tuition has been worked off, you will be placed in the Academy class. Downunder Horsemanship will provide the necessary horses and tack for you to complete the course. There is no guarantee that you will graduate the course. Up to this point, you have simply earned a participant spot in the class.
  • At the end of the Academy class, one of three scenarios will happen: 1) you’ll pass the course and continue your training to become a Certified Clinician, 2) you’ll pass the course and graduate as a Method Ambassador, or 3) you’ll not pass the course and leave the ranch.

If you’ve got the passion and work ethic to let nothing stop you from achieving your dreams, this is an unbeatable opportunity to earn your education by training with the best.
