Enrollment Open for Academy Training Horses

When Clinton announced he was bringing the Academy Horse Program back to the ranch last year, we were flooded with interest. In no time at all, our waiting list was full and we had to stop taking new signups. We’re officially opening the list back up!

The Academy Horse Program is a six-week course that teaches your horse the Fundamentals level of the Method as well as crucial skills such as standing for the farrier, confidently tying, and loading willingly on the trailer. At the end of the course, you’ll spend a day at the ranch learning everything your horse has been taught and receiving a one-on-one lesson from your horse’s trainer. Your lesson will include all the groundwork and riding exercises your horse has learned and will take place in the arena and on the ranch’s obstacle course.

The program is perfect for horses that need started under saddle, horses that just need more experience and horses with long-standing problem behavior. “We handle everything from a green-broke horse that just needs more time under saddle to horses that have been to multiple trainers and we’re their last resort,” Clinton says.

He’s so confident in the program that he offers a money-back guarantee. “If on the day of your lesson you are unhappy with how your horse is behaving and the training he’s received, we’ll give you your money back. That just shows how confident I am in the Method and the Academy,” Clinton says.

Listen to Clinton explain the program in detail and answer frequently asked questions in the video below.

How to Enroll Your Horse in the Academy:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the program by studying Clinton’s informational video and reviewing our frequently asked questions.
  2. Fill out the application form on our website. After the Downunder Horsemanship office receives your information, you’ll be contacted to pay your deposit and schedule a consulting call with our team of trainers to enroll your horse in the program. After the phone call, if you decide to move forward with enrolling your horse and sending him to the ranch for training, your deposit will be applied to the training fee. If you decide the program isn’t for you, your deposit will be refunded. Please note that a call will not be scheduled nor will your deposit be accepted if you have not watched Clinton’s video and reviewed the frequently asked questions.
