PAYS YOU TO RIDE with them??? If you don?t live in KS check their website and see if there is a ride in your area. This is a National organization!!!!
Our Competitive Trail Challenge (CTC) is a casual competitive trail ride that is
anywhere from 6-10 miles long averaging 6-10 judged obstacles along the way.
Obstacles are mostly natural and each has its own judge. Obstacles can consist
of crossing water, crossing bridges, opening gates, and maneuvering steep hills
to opening mailboxes or putting on a slicker and many more “real” things you may
encounter on trail. This is not a speed or timed event. Anyone that trail rides can do these casual competitions!! BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!!
The ride will take about 2 to 2 ? hours for each group to complete. The ride
starts with a briefing for judges, riders and the safety riders. Safety riders
be available on the trail throughout the ride and will “bring up the rear” to
ensure that all riders are off the trail.
Each ride will have their own unique obstacles based on the terrain of the trail. There is a list of
available obstacles on the ACTHA website. We will select 6 to 10 obstacles from
this list. You can also watch videos of these obstacles online.
