I hope your brother is doing as well as can be hoped for, Katherine. He will be in all of our thoughts and prayers.
We placed 6th out of 22 riders in our division today. Not shabby but to be honest, I am not sure what we could have done any differently or how we could improve upon our performance. Sometimes you sort of know where you messed up or what might have been marked down slightly. In this case, all day, Annie did EVERYTHING I asked, quietly, on a loose rein and without any hesitation. That’s good enough for me even if it was not the winning score. We compete again tomorrow. Maybe different judges, different obstacles or different days will make a difference in the outcome.
