So, I think I’m finally over not being able to go to the Intermediate/Advanced clinic. I would have been heading out this coming Monday, if my plans didn’t come to a screeching halt with Sailors little suspensory strain. He’s doing well, so at least my horse is ok. He’s having a followup ultrasound on Tuesday, so we may be able to start loping and getting back to the advanced exercises.
Since I lost the $1,000.00 deposit, I have been quite hesitant to sign up for the 2011 clinic and fork out another grand, especially since Sailor is the only horse I have for now that I could take, and as I found out, anything can happen.
Well, with some talk of being able to transfer the deposit to another clinic, I decided to call DUH and ask about it. Their answer was a big fat NO! I was told you could transfer to another clinic within the same year. Hmmm, that’s a shame considering this is the only and last advanced clinic in 2010. THat didn’t matter, they will gladly keep my $1,000 dollars for nothing in return.
I can understand their policy (sort of), but that’s alot of money to put out there and possibly hand over to CA for nothing. Something to think about if your planning on going to a clinic, that’s for sure.
