I just finished auditing a 3 day clinic of fundamentals with Dale. I too, am finishing up the fundamentals kit and am excited to receive the intermediate kit I ordered. But here was my surprise when we went to Dale’s clinic. I know this stuff backwards and forwards and yet I took 12 pages of notes during the 3 days with Dale. I couldn’t believe how many fine points there still are for me to nail down. I showed Dale a 35 second video of the circle driving excercise that my horse and I had recently done and he had several points for me to work on. My point here is that even when we believe we have the fundamentals down pat, there are still holes, maybe even big ones. If you can audit a 3 day clinic ($25.00 for the 3 days) you will benefit so much. Here is another tip, have some one video you doing all the excercises. When I did that for all the excercies in the fundamentals clinic, I was shocked at how poor some of them were and I truly thought they were good before the video. Dale said that 100 people submitted videos of themselves doing the fundamental series inorder to get into the intermediate clincs and only 15 were good enough. So I suggest we all get out there, make videos, be our own critics and if possible audit a 3 day clinic and then apply for the intermediate clinics. I bet our chances will be hugely increased of getting in. So there are my thoughts from beautiful Oregon.

The passion for animals is innate in me. This passion has never failed, perhaps because it has always increased with time: even today, I experience all its charm, and I hope that this divine passion ends only with my life.
