This maybe a silly question to some of you but I plan on going to the 3 day clinic with Clinton in Maple Plain, MN. But my dilemma is “what horse do I take” ?
I participated in a clinic with one horse in October with Justin. She does well with most of the groundwork but needs work on the riding portion. Or I should maybe say I need work on the riding exercises. I am unsure with what I am doing. I need to do a little more studying of the DVD’s.
My 2nd horse is about the same with the groundwork but I have had some issues with this one while cantering. If she gets a little excited she starts to hump up or will buck a couple of times. She did this when we were doing some sorting and dumped me. I am not afraid to canter her but I am not necessarily a confident enough rider yet to handle the excitement she can portray in some situations. I know I should do the ORS on her when she starts acting up but my nerves will sometimes take over before my common sense.
Would it better to take a horse that has been to a clinic or to take the horse that I could use a little help on? Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.
