Kay, I didnt do cruising for long- just two laps of the arena- about 1 minute. I believe they are just interested in seeing a loose rein, and an even candence to your horse’s gate. They will be able to see in one minute whether you have been practicing or not.
Follow the fence was the same. Just one or two laps of the arena. I did Diagnals twice around the arena as well.
Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of Solitaire. It is a grand passion.
