Ellen, I think teaming up with the local equine rescue to use a crop of rescue horses for the clinics is a really good idea. I think it would benefit the people attending the clinics, help to promote DUH and show folks that most “rescued” horses when treated like real horses can and do respond and make good mounts.
While the opportunity to work with a signature horse would be an honor, the lease price makes it almost cost prohibitive for most of us. I totally understand why Clinton want to keep the clinics at home. I would too if I were him. It certainly makes it harder for a lot of to manage to get there. I would love to go to a clinic someday, but wow, I’d have to save for a couple years to be able to afford both the cost and the time off work.
