Just FYI. When a horse eats with it’s head up the jaw is not aligned right and the teeth don’t wear normally. If the horse always eats that way, over time the lower molars will develop a ramp. Horses evolved eating with their heads down. Their teeth are in perfect alignment, each getting the correct amount of wear. I’m not saying that if your horse always eats with its head down that you will never have to get the teeth floated. I’m saying that you may have to do it less often. I feed in a big rubber tub on the ground. It’s chained to the fence so my horses can’t run off with it. Just FYI. I didn’t know that until my Eq dentist told me.
