I took my dad, who turned 80 this year, and my wonderful husband to the Redmond Tour. Technically Murray has a horse of his own, but really he is just a great sport who accompanies me on trail rides so he won’t have to call out a search party if the horse comes home without me.
My dad called me yesterday to say that the Tour was the high point of his last few years, and was happily reminiscing about the horses he logged and plowed with and raced around on bareback as a kid. To top it off, much to my surprise my non-horsey hubby has been watching the Fundamental DVD’s with me so he can get more respect from his horse!!! He also willingly took videos of me working with my horse yesterday so we could critique my technique. I can’t believe it!
