I would suggest Redmond, Oregon. There is a lovely facility there, hotels and camping nearby and no “big city” traffic. Central Oregon is a playground and attracts people from all over. Another great thing is that Oregon has no sales tax. That means that all of your shopping, both for DUH items and whatever else is tax free.
