Meet Ian Francis at the Ranch Rally

Clinton counts himself lucky to have had two great mentors in his life. The late Gordon McKinlay taught Clinton the foundation of the Method and his approach to start colts. After studying with Gordon for two years, Clinton trained under multiple Australian NRHA Futurity and NCHA Futurity champion, Ian Francis. Under Ian’s guidance, Clinton learned how to prepare a horse for competition and how to get a horse soft and supple through the entire body.

Clinton continues to learn from Ian any chance he gets, and invites the horseman to the United States at least once a year to take lessons from him. Ian will be teaching a couple of demos at this year’s Ranch Rally that will focus on training reining and cow horses. Ian’s willingness to share his knowledge, ability to break down even the most complicated maneuvers, and his approachable personality made him a fan-favorite at last year’s event.

Learn all about the Ranch Rally on our website. The event is limited to 750 horsemen and is held at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in Stephenville, Texas.
